Publised on 19 September 2025 in Evenement.
On Monday, May 12, the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation celebrated the excellence of its terroirs during the 8th edition of the Castillon Wine Awards. For this 2025 edition, the setting was as refined as it was convivial: the restaurant Ressources in Bordeaux, run by Michelin-starred chef Tanguy Laviale.
A blind tasting led by a jury of local experts
No fewer than 59 samples were submitted to a rigorous blind tasting. The verdict? 23 finalists across four main categories, reflecting the richness and diversity of the appellation’s wines:
-
Fresh & Convivial
-
Gourmet & Seductive
-
Powerful & Surprising
-
Unique
To distinguish these gems, a passionate and exacting 100% local jury was assembled. Among them: Brice Raymond, Manuel Brandao, Thomas Duclos, Mikael Laizet, Fabien Faget, Ludwig Vanneron, Jérôme Gagnez, Jane Anson, Stéphane Derenoncourt, Jean-Christophe Meyrou, and Thomas Guibert. A line-up of experts well suited to judge an appellation full of personality.
