Around twenty estates from the appellation opened their doors, offering a wide variety of activities to enrich visits and tastings.

Visitors enjoyed food trucks, explored the old quarries on guided tours, admired art exhibitions, and discovered local producers such as beekeepers, caramel makers, and many more who joined the winemakers for the occasion. This special moment gave many the opportunity to explore the richness of the appellation’s offerings and to appreciate the know-how of Castillon’s winegrowers.

The passion of Castillon’s winemakers prevailed over the weather.

The annual gathering at Château de Pitray, a true highlight of the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, welcomed more than 450 visitors, undeterred by the weather, eager to meet our 27 passionate winemakers. Between wine tastings and gourmet pairings, the day unfolded in a warm, musical atmosphere, with food trucks and entertainment for children. Guests were able to enjoy the diversity of the appellation’s wines and share in an experience full of discovery.

The 2024 edition of the Open House once again highlighted the determination of Castillon’s winemakers to offer visitors a unique experience, showcasing the dynamism of the appellation and its ability to come together around its wines, even in less favorable weather conditions.
